Collection of Personal Information

hungerhub provides a platform to allow users to place meals from local restaurants for meal delivery to their office, in order to perform this service, hungerhub requires necessary data from users, this includes:

Identity Data: Your first and last name

Contact Data: Email address and phone number (optional), used for communication about your orders and service updates.

Dietary Information (optional): Dietary restrictions or preferences you provide, used solely for tailoring your meal orders.

Delivery Information: The address of your business office for order deliveries. We emphasize that we do not collect location data beyond this for any purpose.

Transaction Data: While we facilitate transactions, please note that hungerhub does not store or have access to your financial information, as these are processed through secure third-party payment processors.

The personal data we collect is used for specific, transparent purposes:

Order Fulfillment: To process and deliver your meal orders efficiently.

Service Improvement: For internal analytics, understanding user preferences, and enhancing our product offerings.

We use session cookies and usage data to make it possible to navigate the secure environment inside the hungerhub Web Portal.

We may automatically collect and store certain information about your computer or device and your activities including but not limited to: information about your computer or mobile device such as the type of device, web browser, and operating system, your preferences and settings (time zone, language, etc.)

Use of Analytics Tools

hungerhub may from time to time implement other third-party analytics services that also use cookies to help us monitor and manage our service usage. The data collected is utilized internally to improve service and not shared with third-parties. We will ensure that no personally identifiable information is included in those cookies. If the use of cookies by any service provider differs materially from the practices already listed, we will revise this document accordingly and notify existing customers of the change(s). Other cookies created by hungerhub are used to secure your login session and to help ensure the security of your account. Such cookies are unrelated to the aforementioned traffic analysis and are never shared with third parties.

Your personal data's security is paramount. We store your data with Digital Ocean, a trusted cloud infrastructure provider. Please refer to Digital Ocean’s security documentation (https://www.digitalocean.com/security) for detailed information about their robust security measures, including data encryption, firewalls, and secure data centers, to protect against unauthorized access, alteration, and loss.

Third-Party Disclosure

Business Analysis: Aggregated, anonymized data may be used for internal business analytics, but this does not include any information that can be used to identify you personally.

We will not share personal information with affiliates, third-party software, consultants and other service providers who work for us. If you provide feedback or notify us of issues with your meal - We may share your name, date of transaction and your comments or feedback with vendors when necessary to relay information about the meal they prepared. We will not tie any personal information, other than your name, that can identify you to your comments or feedback. 

We will share the following information with our vendors (partner restaurants) to ensure preparation and fulfillment of your meals: Your name, your meal order specifications, any voluntary entered dietary restrictions or requirements attached to your account. Your email, contact information, and delivery address are not shared with vendors as they are not necessary for order fulfillment.

ACCURACY OF INFORMATION AND INDIVIDUAL ACCESS

The Company relies on you to ensure that the Personal Information you enter into our system is as accurate, complete and up-to-date as necessary for the purposes for which it is to be used. You may make changes or corrections to your Personal Information at any time.

User Rights and Access

Consistent with Bill C-27, you have several rights regarding your personal data:

Access and Correction: You can request access to your personal data and correct any inaccuracies.

Deletion: You can ask us to delete your personal data, subject to certain legal exceptions.

In the unlikely event that we believe that the security of your Personal Information in our possession or control may have been compromised, we may seek to notify you of that development. If a notification is appropriate, we may notify you by the email address registered to your account.

We will never send email messages to customers requesting confidential information such as passwords, credit card numbers.
